The feel of this song is very easygoing and has an honest touch to it. The artist, Triz Nathaniel had a very clear vision for what he wanted the artwork of this song to like. This particular album cover was not necessarily about creating something ‘pretty’ or ‘pleasing' to look at rather, the objective here was to bring to life this funny, quirky and distinctive character and setting that Triz had in mind. Which was to create:
A Beluga that’s a high school student and is walking through the high school corridor while he’s high. And to have the name of the album in graffiti on High School Lockers.
The album cover uses a saturated palette with plenty of shading and spray paint-like style to accentuate the graffiti feel and, also touch on the hip-hop/rap aesthetic.
The Beluga is a truly unique character his happy, free, and relaxed personality is brought out by his blazed smile, and comfortable clothing. The touch of flowers and sparkles in the composition, highlights and brings together the candy-world vibrancy of the whole artwork.
